Great for thin brittle nails that like to shred!

I have very thin, brittle nails that I have to keep short. Emery boards and metal files are too rough to both shape and smooth the edges. These are great for doing both. I have one in my purse and one at work (where my nails take a lot of abuse). It's nice to not need multiple files to get them reasonable while away from home.
