So my 10yr old daughter is mixed and we needed to try a summer camp approved style because her INSANE but gorgeous curls are barely manageable by her mother (me), and I wasn't trying to have anyone else mess with her hair. After texting with a braider we settled on trying the crochet. She wanted unicorn/mermaid hair, and I came across these because they were only 18&#34; while everything else was 24&#34; and the braider worried it would be too long/too much.<br />Facts:<br />~It does have a chemically smell. It does lessen with airing them out a few days before you plan to use them, but THE BEST thing is to soak them in fabric softener. Even that doesn't fully remove the smell, but it really did help and the braider commented on how shiney and improved-looking they were versus their standard packaging.<br />~ The braider thought 6 bundles (2 packages) would be enough, but it looked insufficient,ZERO so I ordered 3 for her mountain of hair JIC, and she used all but 2 braids. Her hair is halfway down her back, and there's a TON of it, so if that's you, ORDER EXTRA. This is also why she was able to distinguish between the hair soaked in fabric softener vs the original because I ordered the 3rd package simply as a backup.<br />~ My 10yr old is 5'4&#34; tall, so use the photo to gauge the length on you.<br />~The braider was super happy with this hair and quality, and requested that I send her the link 😂 So if you're skeptical like I was because of the great price, and half questionable reviews, don't be.<br />The hair went in this morning, so I'll update if anything changes with how I feel about the product.
