The hair is a shown. The locs are size small in thickness. The hair is surprisingly light for the length. I have a small head. 6 packs will complete my head (incomplete in the photos). There isn’t an odor, but I did feel some irritation when the loc touched my face. I dipped mine in hot water to straighten the locs (I don’t care for the wavy look at the top) afterwards, I didn’t feel any irritation. I’m 5’1. The wavy locs stop past buttocks. After straightening them, they hit the knees!
