Doesn't cause hair to break
This review is written by someone who has thin, smooth hair, as do my daughters, so I cannot comment on how well this would work on thicker or curly hair. I needed a brush that won't pull my hair out as I brush it. My hair is very thin and prone to breaking, and I was losing more hair to all other brushes out there than I would have likes.<br />This gets my hair smooth and shiny in no time. I use it while blow drying my hair, and hardly any strands break and come out.<br />It also seems to be very sturdy and well made, with a wooden handle carrying the bulk of the weight - not that this is a heavy brush! To the contrary, I was quite impressed at how lightweight this is.

Great for curly hair
First couple of weeks of use resulted in losing a few bristles. But once the loose ones are free, it's a great brush for curly hair.
