Actually works.

While they do look odd, they are effective. Because the mask is not against your face it really does make it easier to breathe. Talking is much easier as well, because it’s not as muted.

Take a DEEP breath... these things are great!

The only problem I have with my mask brackets is this: I forget I have a mask on! I am an 8th grade science teacher, and must wear a mask while on campus when distancing is not possible (which is all the time!) A day or two before my mask brackets arrived, each inhale felt like my entire mask was being sucked up into one nostril. I imagined what this must look like to my students and was aghast (however, checking the mirror, the mask was barely moving. It just FELT as though it was disappearing into my nose!) Anyway, these are easy to wear. I don't have to use the handy clips that are designed to fit into a mask fold - the bracket just sits on my face! It's not uncomfortable - I don't even notice it is there. What I DO notice is that it's easier to breathe, less annoying to speak, and my nose is no longer afraid it will end up looking like the one on the Wicked Witch of the West. I bought a five pack. I sent two to a colleague at another school, and she is just as happy with hers as I am with mine!
