I was so excited, when i saw that ALEXA had a Peppermint Coffee Scrub. I Love all The Products, that i have received so far, but this one is definitely my Winner, since Peppermint is one of my weaknesses. I Love The smell, The Taste, i like everything about this herb. So much, that My husband gave me The nickname Peppermint Princess<br /><br />Back to The Scrub: the Alexa Coffee Scrub came in a resealable bag. I transferred it into The empty Container from my previous Alexa Scrub, because it had a screw Lid And is more practical for me to use, while in The shower..<br />The smell is sooo delightful! Not too strong, not in your Face, just right! I want to pour it in a Cup, slather it with whipped cream And Drink it ( i am just kidding, don't Do it!) If You like Peppermint And Coffee Smell (And WHO doesnt?) You will be hooked!<br /><br />I love the simplicity of ingredients used, such as: Sea Salt, Organic Kona Coffee, Organic Olive Oil, Organic Sweet Almond Oil, Organic Grape Seed Oil, Coffee Arabica Seed Oil, Organic Shea Butter, Cacao Powder, Coconut Shavings<br /><br />I sometimes make my own scrubs, Using similar ingredients, but Mine isnt half As good, As this is...<br /><br />The Scrub has a moist sandy consistency, which i prefer to The more coarse scrubs.<br />It makes my Skin tingly And rejuvenated.<br /><br />This is a Great Scrub! Amazing scrub!
Once the cold weather hits we all get some dry patches and most of us pamper ourselves with a scrub in the bath or shower. I have used my fair share and this one is definitely a favorite of mine. As soon as you open up the bag you areally bombarded by the sweet smell of peppermint and coffee. Trust me, you're going to be tempted to eat this stuff. The scrub is light brown with dark brown flecks. I'm assuming the flecks are coffee grounds. There are no harmful scrubbing beads in this which is awesome! Everything is all natural. I got some on my fingers and rubbed my heels in circular motions. You will notice that there is an oil mixed in with the scrub and that will absorb into your open pores and help to soften your skin even more once your shower or bath is over with. My heels immediately felt softer. I followed that by using it on my legs and elbows. Once I was finished, my entire bathroom smelled amazing and stayed that way for hours. I applied lotion after I got out of the shower and I can tell a HUGE difference in my skin this morning. Helllloooo peppermint mocha!
Oh what luxury! When I opened this package I was delighted by the scent, if you're a fan of peppermint mochas (or even if you're not) it smells amazing, both comforting and refreshing. I scooped out about 2 tablespoons and applied it on my upper arms and elbows and immediately knew I loved it. I've had two experiences with body scrubs, ones that contain oils and ones that do not. I find the ones that contain oil work better because they exfoliate the skin as advertised but do so without creating redness and irritation, plus they moisturize so the end result is soft smooth skin, almost to the effect of those in-shower body moisturizers that are popular these days. Body scrubs that don't contain oil can't feel like a sandpaper and make you wonder if they're even worth using. After using this one I quickly realized it just HAD to contain oils, my skin felt SOOO moisturized! Sure enough I looked at the ingredients and it did contain various oils. Once I experienced the results I scooped out another handful and went to town on my knees and shins. I love this stuff! It creates the ultimate spa-like shower experience, plus the peppermint oil combined with the hot steam from the shower helped me breathe better which I liked...it almost felt therapeutic. My one critique is that the bag made it a bit tricky to use in the shower, so afterwards I filled a travel container with the scrub to keep in the shower, problem solved. Overall, this is a phenomenal skincare product I highly recommend. I purchased this with a discount so I could test and review, but my opinion is how I honestly feel about the product.
Peppermint and coffee scrub that I like the smell and on some of my dry areas
Rub a Dub Scrub! A delightful shower treat. This organic body polish is nicely scented with coffee and peppermint. Typically I make my own from organic ingredients, so I am picky and compare. I was very happy with the Alexa coffee body scrub. The package is a nice size at 8 oz. It also would make a wonderful gift if you are needing a quality pampering for someone.<br /><br />You can just get your feet wet if you are doing a pedicure with it. All you have to do is get your body wet, or the particular area you are using it on. I put a smidgen between my fingers and only use it on key body dry areas. If you want to slather it all over that is ok too! I just like to make it last because it is nice on my skin. I have several dry eczema areas and dry areas on my feet.<br /><br />I have used other brands and had to transfer it into another container of my own, I love that with this one I didn't have to! It is not to cumbersome in the shower, the package is easy to open and close. The Alexa brand is made in the USA with organic all natural moisturizers. My skin is soft silky smooth with the combination of the great ingredients of dead sea salt, organic oils, organic coffee and organic shea butter. I used the scrub on my hands, feet, upper arms and legs. The scrub doesn't leave behind an oily residue, just a nice soft skin feeling. It's great for light exfoliating. Scrub, rub and rinse! I received this product at a discount in return for a review and my honest and unbiased opinion.
Good Stuff
I don't know about the anti-cellulite but my skin feels awesome...not sure I like the peppermint but that is my bad. My only complaint is the bag doesn't like to re-seal because of the salt that gets in the grooves. Perhaps they can create a re-usable glass jar to put the bag contents in so it stays fresh. It also seemed like very little product in the bag...
