Very strong hold, good fragrance

Bought this as I was looking for a matte gel/wax, and this came up in the recommendations.<br /><br />Pros:<br />-Awesome fragrance. It is slightly artificially fruity/floral, one might even say in a slightly feminine fashion, but seriously, smelling nice is smelling nice. It smells of traditional hair spray upon initial application, but that fades away, and the real fragrance lasts all day.<br />-Very strong hold. After initial styling, hair holds the style and becomes extremely stiff. The hold and texture easily lasts more than a day if needed, and is therefore predictable, and I appreciate not having to worry about re-styling if I have to do something social after work.<br />-After the initial application, it dries and stays dry. This is unlike wax or gels which stay sticky or wax all day, thereby attracting dust and dry skin, etc.<br />-Texture does not change after initial application. This is to say that after styling your hair, that texture is exactly how it'll look until the end of the day. This doesn't dry out, matte out, or fade out. Depending on how wet the hair is on application, the texture ranges from matte to taking on a slight sheen. I appreciate not having to worry about the hair looking differently at the end of the day versus when I freshly styled in the morning.<br />-A little bit goes a long way. I am used to using a dime-sized amount for styling with other waxes, but with this I can easily use half as much every morning, and I still feel as if I have used a bit too much.<br /><br />Cons:<br />-Cannot re-style. After the initial application, the hair stiffens, and you are pretty much committed. There is no re-styling at mid-day. While this is a pro to me, I can understand how this may be a con to others. You will not have flexibility with the hair after the style sets.<br />-It's not as easy to wash off as advertised. Half of it will wash off the hands easily with just water, but then when you run your fingers together, you still feel a slight slippery film left on skin that doesn't seem to come off with soap. Good news is that after hands dry you can't feel it. It also washes out of hair with no issues.<br />-Like all sticky waxes, it's somewhat difficult to spread around. It's not the most difficult, but also not the easiest. It takes running the hands through the hair quite a few times to spread the product in hair until the matte residue disappears.<br /><br />This is all I can think of for now. In an odd way this is unlike my previous favorite gel/wax in all aspects, but probably in a good way. I'd happily use purchase it again once my first tube runs out.
