It was exactly what I expected.
I purchased this to repair a model G Black limited edition clipper, which is basically a GTX. The GTO uses a 2 wire cord (without a ground) and we order those direct from Andis along with all of the other Andis products we sell or use to repair and sharpen equipment. They claim the 3 wire cord is only for Canada (and would not supply them to us), but many barbers in SoCal have the GTX and they need to be repaired no matter where it was intended to be sold. Some people think the heavier cord helps the performance of the clipper, but they would be wrong. At 10-12 watts, the amperage draw is far less than what a small wire is capable of handling. I did not measure the gauge of the wire in this cord to see how it compares to the GTO cords, but the only benefit of a heavier wire is that it will take longer for fatigue to cause the wire to break at the clipper. While the cost of this cord is more than buying it wholesale, Amazon was a convenient and fast way to get my hands on this item.
