It does straighten, but not bone straight like a pressing comb.
Honest review
Let me start off by saying I don't normally put heat in my hair. I like to keep my hair curly and hydrated. And we'll its that time of year again when I have to do my natural hair maintenance. Which brought me to this new straight hair comb to try. After looking around a bit and I found this one. I wasn't sure about it when I first say it. Keep in mind that this was my first time trying a flat iron like this one, type and style. I have natural 3/4C hair and I wanted to straighten it so I can clip my ends. I ordered this one because of the price. So here is my honest review. I like that it lays flat when you set it down. I also like that it gets your hair really straight, like bone straight. It does a great job especially if you have natural hair and you need to clip your ends. I only had to take it up to 130 celsius. It doesn't burn you if it touches you which it a plus in my case. Because it's been so long since I've used heat in my hair.<br /><br />Now what I don't like about it is that the cord seems kind of short. The cord also does not swivel which is a no go product for hair. And also I do not like that there is no way to clean it also. I'm not sure how much hair is left in it or if any is left in it at all. I do not like that it is in Celsius and not Fahrenheit.<br /><br />After all of that for the most part I can say I do like it. It does have heat protection shut off. So I guess if it gets too hot it does shut off. I know or I think I heard it vibrate but I'm not really sure đ I will have to investigate that further at a later date.
