Nice Dye!

I usually go with Manic Panic color, but I was given a discount on this Arctic Fox color in Violet Dream in exchange for an honest review. I really liked this color and used it on part of my hair most notably by bangs, but other sections too in conjunction with Manic Panic Purple Haze and After Midnight Blue. I left it all on overnight and other than my super gentle shampoo not getting all of it out during the first shower (it wasn't rubbing off on anything, just stuck a bit near the roots, and the Manic Panic was too). I enjoyed this shade and it it proves to have good staying power I'll probably purchase it again. Only time will tell on that part. I have fallen in love with Artic Fox

Wow, wow WOW! I have fallen in love with Artic Fox! I was so excited to try it, after seeing it demonstrated by a YouTuber I follow. I tried Wrath on my own hair last week, so picked up an 8oz bottle of Violet Dream for my 20 year old daughter, who has bleached, waist-length hair. She did MP's Purple Haze two months ago and it did not hold long at all, which was disappointing. We applied to damp, towel-dried hair and the 8oz was just enough. We put on a plastic cap and wrapped her hair in the towel. We left it on for two hours and it looks amazing! Tips for those new to this type of haircolor...if your hair is not previously bleached, freshly bleached or very damaged, it's not going to give you the same intensity of the color you see on the box or in the pictures. So you might want to try a strand test if this is important to you. For instance, if you have dark blond hair and you put a green or green-ish blue over it, it's likely to look very muddy and grayish and not in a nice way. Cool colors especially work best on very lightened hair. Also, don't wash after rinsing out...just condition and then wait a couple days to wash if you can. Make sure to use a gentle, sulfate-free colors-afe shampoo. And skip shampoo often, and just rinse and condition (you can wash your scalp with conditioner). Also, "strip" your hair before applying...use a clarifying shampoo so remove any oils or build-up that will keep the color from getting info your hair! This is how I get my color to stay well for a couple months. :D Disclosure: I received this item at a discount in order to evaluate it and compose an honest, unbiased review.

Great color but allergy alert!

Pros: Beautiful, vibrant color, pleasant fragrance, and easy to use. Cruelty free and vegan friendly. I used this in a rainbow hair look (see pic). Cons: minus one star because all of their dyes contain Methylchloroisothiazolinone and Methylisothiazolinone, which are added as an antimicrobial/anti-fungal. These are known to be common allergens and repeated and/or extended exposure can increase risk of reaction. Imagine the feeling of sunburned poison ivy on your scalp. I am personally VERY allergic to this chemical, so I can never use these dyes on myself :'(
