Effective and Comfortable
Being that my hair is thin and fine, I have trouble keeping sleeping caps or bonnets in place overnight. I thought this one might actually stay on, so I requested it from Vine and here we are. This review is for: Auban Sleep Hair Wrap Bonnet Eye Cover Black Satin Cap Large for Sleeping Silk Cap Double Layer for Long.<br /><br />This cap is super comfortable, so let's start with that. The outside is made of cotton, but the inside is satin. This means that it will NOT frizz out your hair if you move around a lot at night. I recently got a 2 inch trim off the bottom of my hair, but even if it was still 1/3 of the way down my back, all of my hair would fit, (and stay!) inside.<br /><br />The fit is loose enough around the edges that you could pull it down over your ears and even over your eyes, if you wanted to. I do. On the other hand, it's tight enough that I did not need to use any bobby pins or hair clips to keep the cap on. Seriously, this sleeping cap is my new favorite thing. I hope that the elastic holds up for a while-if it doesn't I will come update this review, but as of right now, I'm very happy with this cap.

This is my first experience with a sleep cap. I have mid-length wavy hair and have decided I'm done trying to keep it tamed. No more flat iron or hairdryer. So this was a trial for me. I'm impressed. I shoved my hair inside and the next morning it looked better than the day before. It's not tangled and the waves look great (I had dry hair when going to bed) It's not attractive but it's functional. A bonus I didn't expect is how much better I slept because it kept my ears warm and the light blocked. I no longer care what it looks like. Sleep and good hair rule over that.

The outside is a soft t-shirt material and the inside is satinโperfect for protecting your locks.<br /><br />I will say that the cap is kind of rectangular/sack-shaped; I would think it might be slightly better if it were shaped more for a head, but it does fit my thick, waist-length hair, so I can't complain too much on that.<br /><br />It stays in place while I sleep and doesn't sleep too hot. Hopefully it holds up well!

This sleep cap was better than I expected in terms of comfort and functionality, although it left a bit to be desired in the style category. Donโt get me wrong, I am not terribly experienced in terms of hair wraps, but I thought I would give it a try both for my curls and for protecting my blow outs. When it arrived, I was immediately pleased with the silky interior, although there were a few loose threads. These were not really an issue. The cap was loose and comfortable, to the point I was not sure it would stay on during sleep or that my hair would stay contained. Neither proved to be an issue. I slept in it easily, my hair stayed in place, and I even wore it under my shower cap in the mornings to keep from getting the dreaded impression across my forehead from the shower cap elastic. It worked really well, although I would recommend not splashing the face area if you choose to do this. The style issue I mentioned was that the way mine was cut, it did not look like a turban at all no matter how I turned it or tucked the corners in, but rather looked more like a cap with two edges. Not super attractive to be honest. Hubby knew better than to do more than quietly give me a hard side eye the first time I wore it to bed though. For the price point, this is a very comfortable and functional item. It is worth a try to see if it works for you to keep your hair looking great and save you time in the morning.
