Better than what you payed for!
They say you get what you pay for, but with these, i think, you definitely get better. At only $1 per brush, they are a steal! There was no chemical smell on my brushes, but if there was one with yours, thats actually a good thing. It means the brushes were actually sanitized, but you should always wash new brushes before using them. There was a few loose hairs sticking out of a couple brushes when i opened them, but there was no shedding on my face. All of these brushes are actually face brushes, they're not over-sized eye brushes, but you can use them for whatever you like. If i had to say something bad, it would be that the hairs are a little rough on the bottom half of the brush head, which doesnt matter anyway. But i would purchase these again and i think I'm going to order my sister a black set!
