I like this better than my Denman
I started using boar bristle brushes only a few years ago. I'd always used wire pin, thinking it was superior for detangling without breaking hair over plastic. I didn't know a thing about boar bristle brushes. I'd bought a couple of Denman brushes on recommendation & thought they were nice. But I have tush length hair & found that more often than not, I had to use my metal pin brush to detangle before I could do anything with the Denman.<br /><br />One of our Denmans got lost, and I came back to buy a replacement. In that time, the cost of the of them doubled. Making them far too expensive for my taste. Out of desperation for a reasonably priced alternative, I ordered one of these Willkem brushes. I did not have high hopes. Buying online without a recommendation can be a gamble. I half expected to get a product that wasn't what it claimed to be.<br /><br />I now find myself incredibly grateful denman decided to double their prices for whatever reason as I haven't picked the one I have left up again once since I got this Willkem brush.<br /><br />It is firmer than my old denmans, so it might feel scratchy, especially at first, to a sensitive scalp. However, it goes straight through my hair! No more using the metal pin brush & then switching to a boar bristle. I have stopped using my metal brush entirely as well. Even when my hair is wet, I can work this through without a struggle.<br /><br />I ordered a second Willkem brush a couple of weeks after the first. Sure, I have a excess of types of brushes in the house now, but I really only use the Willkem brushes. The rest sit in the basket, untouched.<br /><br />These leave my hair so nice. Soft & shiny while still having fluff & volume. As long as Willkem keeps making & selling these brushes as they are now, I'll keep buying them. In fact, I'm tempted to buy a stash of them so I don't have to worry about it! I can't see going back to other brushes at this point & I'd hate to have to search for a replacement for something that's turned out to be so perfect for me.<br /><br />My only regret is that no one told me about these when I was much younger.<br /><br />Buy it. Really good brush
I have long, thick, curly hair. For those who know hair types, I have combination hair (3c-4a). I love this brush!!! I haven’t tried it on my curly hair yet but it feels so good. It’s durable too. I used it as a smoothing brush on my daughter’s 4c hair without any detangling tears. If anything changes I’ll update this post.
Can use on thick hair
