Must have product
I've used this brand of calendula gel for years, but only recently put it to the test. The first time was a minor, but ugly cut on a finger, from a serrated knife. After cleaning the wound, I kept calendula gel and a bandaid over the wound, applying the gel twice a day. At first it looked like the wound was not healing, but then I realized it was getting smaller and less red every day. It healed from the inside out, and never developed the ugly deep scab I normally get with cuts to my fingers. It was amazing. Then, just a few weeks later, I got bit by a dog on the back of my hand and fingers. I put calendula gel on my fingers twice a day, covered by a bandaid, and the bites healed just like my knife cut had â amazing! Since the bites on the back of my hand weren't as serious, I pretty much ignored them after a couple days. In contrast, as those bites healed they looked unpleasant and develop ugly scabs. This all happened a few months ago, and I can still see where the wounds were, but I'm so impressed that I will always use calendula gel on all my wounds.<br /><br />Not long after my injuries, I showed my Dr. how well the wounds healed, and mentioned that about 8 years ago my sister used calendula gel while she had radiation treatment for cancer. It really worked well, limiting the damage done to her skin. She applied it three times a day, but always had clean skin when she went in for her treatments. My Dr. was surprised that she had known to use it, and said that the hospital he works with had recently started giving calendula gel to patients who are going through radiation treatments.<br /><br />Every first aid kit should have calendula gel!
