I have white skin. Like, white white.My arms and face generally see a little sun in the summer and darken slightly, but I take care to wear SPF so I never see much change. My legs, on the other hand, are a problem. White. Blinding.Horrifying. I've tried many self tanning products in the past, mostly lotions and foams. They all worked okay, usually with streaking and the dreaded orange tone, but what is a girl to expect?<br />I can tell you now, there's more out there for us than orange legs. This yea is the first in 3 or 4 that I have actually chosen to wear shorts. I figured, I'm too old to care what people think about my stretch marks, white legs, weird veins. So I bought a Loreal spray bronzer a few weeks ago. I was left with horribly streaky legs that I had no choice but to cover up. I can deal with my own legs, but streaked legs? I couldn't do it. I found this Bronze Doll spray and I decided to give it a try. I've never used a mitt before and I was curious.<br />I waited until the streaking from the last tanner I tried was completely gone before using this, because I wanted to give it a fair shot. Immedietely upon spraying the product into the mitt and rubbing it on my legs, they were transformed. I can't lie, it looked like I was spreading paint on my chunky white calves. It was almost a purple color. I was shocked, but I kept going. I rubbed the product onto both legs, being as careful as I could. It had a really pleasant scent, almost tropical, but it went away when the product dried. Dry time was about a minute- but I didn't put my shorts on for a few minutes after that. I didn't notice any transfer whatsoever, either on my clothing or my white bed sheets. By the time I went to bed, the color had settled to a nice bronze. Not too dark, but very noticeable. My legs ended up a little splotchy, but I know that it was due to user error. I woke up with nicely tanned legs, for the first time in years.<br />Then I took a shower. As soon as the water hit my legs, it turned brown. I can honestly say, I wasn't expecting that. I rubbed my legs a little and no additional product seemed to come off. When I got out of the shower, I saw that the color had been reduced by about half, but was still obvious on my skin.I will reapply tonight to help with some of my mistakes from yesterday. This is a dark enough product that I think I can only use it 3 times a week if I want to look normal, and I pretty much do. I love the way it makes my skin look. I love the way it makes my calves (my most hated body part) look! I can't say that I will try it on other parts of my body, but I will being using it throughout the summer on my legs.The mitt makes an obvious (for me) difference in ease and quality of application. I am very happy with this, and I will repurchase it if I run out before September, (which is when I will most likely go back to covering up all the time). I was able to purchase this product at a reduced cost in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are my own. When I repurchase the product, I will happily do so at full cost.
No orange! Great self tanner
I will let the pictures speak volumes! I don't tan in the sun, I usually spray tan! I have used tons of self tanners, which have always turned my orange ! This one really took me by surprise! Make sure you exfoliate your skin then apply to clean skin! It would help if you have someone too do your back . I even got brave the next day and did my entire body, yes even my face! It works with your body so you should sleep in it , the next day is when you really see the results! The pictures are immediately after one application! Use the mitt that comes with it, take your time and spread! You will have a nice tan!
Besutuful sunless tab tan aerosol soray plus mitt
Love this product and the mitt.i have fair skin and it gave me a beautiful glow perfect amount of color. Only problem i encountered was the aeresol top clogging up on me. Make sure to spray at least a foot away from skin and then lightly rub in curcular motions for even coverage, for sensitive areas spray directly onto mitt before applying. Wish there was more priduct in bottle it goes so fast.
Pretty color but fades spotty
I am very light skinned and burn easily, so using self tanner is really my only option. I want a self tanner that goes on evenly and gives me a nice, pretty color without being orange or too dark. This product did a okay job of doing most of these things. This is the first time I used a spray and not lotion, so I was a little leery of that, but it worked pretty good. I like that it came with a mitt to keep my hands from staining. The mitt is decent quality. I previously purchased a several tanning mitt that is a better quality, but this one did the job well. The color that developed was very pretty and was not orange. I only applied one coat because I am very tan and do not want a deep tan just a little color so I do not look like a ghost. The scent of the product is nice and not over powering like some other tanners. This product does not last too long. Maybe two or three days of a pretty color and then it fades quickly. I am okay with reapplying every few days, but this was a little splotchy when I reapplied. I definitely recommend exfoliating and moisturizing very well before applying and reapplying any self tanner. Overall, this is a good self tanner that gives a pretty color.
