Great For Shaving-Related Problem Skin!
An Effective Solution For Razor-Issues For Men And Women...<br /><br />I've been using these razors since the early 90's. And while I wear a beard now, I still have to shape the hairline up around my lower neck and face.<br /><br />If you're prone to razor rash or ingrown hairs, this is a much better pick for you than any other disposable razor. Originally designed by a black dermatologist, this razor was created specifically for black guys that have a chronic problem with daily shaving. Well, as guys go, they're not alone. And this razor fixed that problem for me handily!<br /><br />Back when I wore a suit and tie, and worked minimally six days a week, daily shaving became a real bummer for me. This razor offered an affordable and convenient "fix" for a real problem.<br /><br />How It Works: A thin "rake" overrides the single blade, preventing the cutting edge from shaving too closely, thereby eliminating the aforementioned problems of razor rash and ingrown hairs. No, you won't get as close a shave... But a five o'clock shadow at two o'clock, is a lesser evil than a face or neck full of razor rash and ingrown hairs! Some people's hair/follicles and skin-types will simply not tolerate an ultra-close shave, and that's the end of it.<br /><br />Note: Anybody that is troubled with razor-related problems, should avoid using the double and triple blade cartridges, as these will just exacerbate your problems. Further, guys (or gals) with such problems should avoid shaving against the direction of the hairs as well, as this too will just exacerbate your problems.<br /><br />Also: There are better solutions for shaving than shaving soap. Hair conditioner, warmed slightly in a microwave cup shaves far nicer than any soap I've tried in 62 years. And it's good to let the conditioner sit on your skin a few minutes before shaving. Just keep your razor rinsed-out really well, while using it. Clogged razors can be cleared with an old toothbrush, always brushing away from the blade's cutting edge to avoid damaging it.<br /><br />Depending on your beard, a single Bump Fighter Razor can serve well between say, three days and one week... Some guys alternate these razors with the more traditional types... After a while, I found that I really only needed these Bump Fighter Razors on my neck, where my collars rubbed.<br /><br />Note: My wife favored these razors for her personal grooming as well, reporting zero rash or ingrown hair issues when using them. She later found that she could make do with regular disposable razors on her legs and underarms, but greatly preferred these Bump Fighter Razors for bikini-line work, and such. You'll figure it out...<br /><br />I was very pleased to see Amazon pick up these razors, since Wal-Mart and Walgreens stopped carrying them in stores. I had to go looking for them online, and while I did find them, it's so much easier just adding them to my Amazon orders!<br /><br />Note: People with severe shaving-related issues should look into permanent hair removal via laser or pulsed light depilation by a professional. The winter rates are getting more and more affordable, I hear, and it offers at least a "semi-permanent" solution.<br /><br />RayB
