I've used this product for years. Upsides: It has terrific hold. It adds volume to your hair and it adds shine without a wet look. Downsides: It can leave a film on your skin if you don't rub it off after application. After it dries, it will leave a residue in buildup areas, so look for them, especially on the sides. And as for the wash out...yes. It's a bitch to get out especially if you're like me and wear it 4-5 days a week. I suggest you use any tea tree oil shampoo. It seems to cut through it. I've actually used palmolive dish soap and that didn't work. That is the only reason I gave it one less star. It's great overall and has a throwback feel. One can will last about 2-3 months depending on usage.
