No, it's Not "bleach". Sodium Hypochlorite is commonly used in wound care
No,Sodium Hypochlorite is not bleach! It can be used as a bleaching agent and is COMMON in wound care. Even if it shares ingredients. It's basically a saline solution with phosphoric acid added. It's totally safe. If you go to a tattoo shop and get a piercing, you are told to clean with salt water. That's basically what this is, with added Phosphoric acid. And the only thing the phosphoric acid does is balance your Ph. People calling this bleach are highly overreacting. I have had very many peircings. (10 total) and have used this on several of them. I got a conch peircing at a tattoo shop and cleaned exactly how they told me. I got a keloid. Couldn't get it to heal. I used this Claire's rapid solution and it healed in less than a week. I love this stuff I think it's amazing. While yes, everyone heals differently, it may not be perfect for everyone, my point is simply that it is safe for most people, and I've had a great experience with it personally.
Itโs not bleach, so stop saying it is
Hey guys, this isnโt bleach. Itโs not watered down bleach. It does share ingredients with bleach, but bleach also has many other ingredients. Saying that this product is bleach is like saying that bread is a cake because they share ingredients, itโs just not true. For the record, the main ingredient in both Claireโs ear care solution and bleach (sodium hypochlorite) is also commonly used in swimming pools to clean them. Using this ear care solution is not pouring bleach on an open wound unless you also consider jumping in a pool as bathing in bleach. Also, any piercing specialist would recommend using salt water to clean a new piercing. Sodium hypochlorite (NaClo) is a salt, a salt quite similar to table salt actually (NaCl), so this is basically a salt water solution. Finally, the bleach smell people complain about really isnโt there, this product smells of chlorine, which is in bleach as well as pools as well as many salts. Donโt be fooled by simple chemistry, this product is not bleach.
Its different for everyone
Reading others review id say everyones body just heals differently. For me this product really worked well, i got my cartlidge pierced and i just could not get rid of the infection after 2-3 months of it still being grossly infected and trying everything i could find on google, i went to the doctors and they even told me my body is probably rejecting it and to just take it out. This was my last resort before just closing it up and it worked within a month or less. My piercing is completely healed now and i got my second one done and using this consistently has prevented it from the horrible infection bump the first time
Really works, no problem with bleaching clothes
I obtained the product from Claire's after getting my ears pierced. Love it. I have found that it also helps other cuts and injuries heal faster as well. I get skin burns from an allergic reaction and I found that those healed quicker too. I liked it so much I am trying to find a way to purchase it outside of getting ears pierced. As far as the comments go about it bleaching out clothes. I have not found this to be the case (at least not where I am concerned). I was not careful and let it get on my clothes and so far I have had no issues.
