It Does the Job!
Definitely wear gloves if you don't want to stain your hands. I've used purple shampoos before so I was a bit cavalier about staining. The product left a slightly blue hue to my hands- nothing major like another reviewer experienced (I washed it off right after running it through my hair). I can't complain though because it works! I think the pigment has to be pretty strong to counteract orange tones on brunette hair. Purple shampoos, if that's your reference, are generally toning lighter hair and don't have to stain as darkly for the color to show.<br /><br />Apart from toning, this left my hair soft and silky. It's nice to have a solution to the orange tones that come out in my hair a few weeks after I dye it basically any color.
