This Cospack Satin Lined Adjustable Shower Caps as advertised is good for women with long hair. The gathered edge is not only "not too tight," it is adjustable via a drawstring with a cord lock, much as are found on sleeping bag drawstrings. I was able to get a perfect fit and tuck up my hair to keep it completely dry.<br /><br />Just a note, I also gather my hair in a pony tail before putting on the shower cap, but I may be able to skip this step going forward. My head is large and the shower cap had no problem with enclosing a ponytail. UPDATE: was able to tuck all my shoulder-length hair into the shower cap without a ponytail.<br /><br />Other advantages:<br />* This is made of an outer layer of silk blend and an inner lining that seems to be plastic. Both seem sturdy and likely to last.<br />* You can use the drawstring slack to hang this in your bathroom to dry.<br />* Comes with two shower caps, so you can alternate and let these really dry out. To me, the blue is more attractive than the khaki, which is just a preference.<br />* Can be hand washed or on a machine delicate setting.
