This mud mask is amazing! I love the way it smells
This mud mask is amazing! I love the way it smells. It separated some at shipping, but a quick mix had it looking uniform. I applied it easily, no drips or spills and it dried relatively quickly. It was very tingly while on my face, and my face felt great once I'd removed it.
A great natural mask
Another winner from Era Organics!<br /><br />My dry, sensitive skin loves loves loves this mask! It "tingles" when I apply it, but cools as it dries. The tingling is nothing scary and it doesn't leave me with big, red splotches like other masks I have tried. It has helped reduce the blackheads that I have on my nose and forehead which is fantastic (I have large pores so anything that cleans those pores and makes them look less noticeable is a winner in my book!).<br /><br />I have also used this mask on my upper back to reduce the little breakouts that I get back there too!<br /><br />I love the smell of this mask. I got the "blood orange lemongrass" mask and it has a very light citrus scent. It's not an overpowering, fake scent like a lot of masks have which is good if you are sensitive to scents like I am. I also love that this mask (and all other Era Organics products) uses natural, organic ingredients - I feel good about putting it on my skin!
Great mask!
I used this last night & love it! There was a slight tingling but not unpleasant. It dried in about 15 minutes. I washed it off and my skin felt fab! It was soft and felt fresh. I can't wait to use it again.

VERY IMPRESSED โ First off, Iโm easily pleased and I generally have a โglass half fullโ outlook. I do extensive research before I buy a product off of Amazon. I even use the customer reviews on this site to determine whether or not to purchase items from brick and mortar stores. Therefore, the majority of the time Iโm happy with the things I buy because I already know what to expect. Once in a while, I get my hands on something truly exceptional that far exceeds my expectations. This deep sea mud mask by ERA Organics is one of those things! I woke up to an overnight ambush of vicious hormonal acne about 10 days ago. I tried my go to products but I wasnโt seeing any improvement and I have a tendency to pick at imperfections so that wasnโt helping matters either. So when I received my Era Organics mud mask I wanted to try it out right away since one of the things that it claims to help with is acne. I cleaned my face with my Murad exfoliating cleanser, and let my skin dry completely before applying the mask. Iโm not going to try to sugar coat this so I will just put it right out thereโฆ The sensation of the mask is VERY INTENSE! So intense in fact, that my first instinct was to wash it off immediately because I thought the product might be defective. I recalled reading that people experienced a strong tingling sensation when first applied but I just didnโt expect this level of intensity. It was not painful, just surprisingly potent, but the sensation does subside after a few minutes. I let the mask dry while I soaked in a hot bath. I ended up falling asleep so Iโm guessing that I left it on 30 minutes instead of the recommended 10 - 15. I used a warm washcloth to gently remove the mask and applied my normal moisturizer. My skin felt fresh and had a slight pinkish tone. When I woke up the next morning and looked in the mirror I was surprised to find a noticeable improvement in the breakout! The pimples that looked angry and red the day before were drying up and not nearly as obvious. I knew right then that I had a new weapon in my arsenal! I applied it again the very next night however; I used my regular cleanser and not the exfoliating one. The tingling sensation was still present but not as bad as the first time I used it. My skin showed a marked improvement yet again! The breakout was almost completely gone! I was tempted to use it again the third night but decided to wait because I also have a โmore is betterโ mindset that got me in deep trouble with a retinol product about a year ago. So far Iโve used the mask 5 times total and each time the sensation slightly decreases and Iโm actually starting to enjoy the tingly feeling because I know itโs doing its job.<br /><br />The positives:<br /><br />+ This stuff stops acne in its tracks! - Iโm in my mid-forties and Iโve tried a lot of very expensive products. Some worked really well but I just couldnโt justify spending several hundred dollars every 6 to 8 weeks to keep it up. The acne fighting properties of this product, while not quite, the same level as the prescription products, are still very impressive and better that anything Iโve purchased without a prescription.<br /><br />+ Refreshing - I like the fresh, clean/ invigorated feeling you are left with after each use.<br /><br />+ Organic - Our skin is the largest organ our bodies have. Skin absorbs numerous toxins from the polluted environment every day. Certain airborne pollutants can be absorbed just as much through the skin as breathing them in. Therefore it is very important that we are not adding to this toxic problem by applying creams and lotions that contain pesticides. Also, organic ingredients are made humanely.<br /><br />+ Detoxifying properties โ Several of the ingredients have known detoxifying properties. In short, they pull impurities out of your skin (e.g. blackheads).<br /><br />+ Exfoliation โ This Mask is a good exfoliator which is one of the most important aspects of a skincare routine. Exfoliation not only helps many skin problems, it also increases circulation, which in turn helps to achieve that healthy glow. It also reduces fine lines and wrinkles.<br /><br />+ 60 days to try the product - I like that the company offers a money back guarantee and they give ample time to try the product.<br /><br />Negatives:<br /><br />- I could see this product causing skin irritation in some people due to the potent ingredients. I suggest that you follow the manufacturerโs advice and try it on a small inconspicuous area before applying it to your entire face (like I did).<br /><br />- Moisturizing โ It didnโt make my skin dryer (itโs naturally dry) but I didnโt notice any moisturizing benefits either.<br /><br />- Consistency โ I try to read everything about a product before purchasing. I looked at the pictures that the other reviewers posted and in most of the pics the mud seems to have a semi-liquid, almost runny, consistency. My jar has a marshmallow consistency. I have to really dig-in to get the product out; which leads me to believe that there could be a problem with uniformity or the measurements of the ingredients. Or else it could have been in the warehouse for an extended period of time and dried out a little. Iโm not deducting any stars for this because it is an all-natural product and Mother Nature is not always consistent in her creations. But I do think it might be something the manufacturer should look into.<br /><br />Overall I am extremely pleased with the ERA Organics Dead Sea Mud Mask. I will reorder when I finish this bottle and recommend it to my friends. Mud Mask
The first thing I noticed about this mud mask was the good smell. I put it on my face and had a tingling sensation that lasted about a minute. After the mask dried, I removed it and my skin looked and felt great. My husband's forehead was breaking out so I convinced him to try it. He had the tingling sensation for about 30 seconds. After using the mask on his forehead for 2 nights in a row his redness and acne were almost completely gone. I highly recommend this product to anyone. I have tried several mud masks and this is by far the best and worth the price!<br /><br />I received this product at a discount for my honest and unbiased opinion.
Most Excellent
This mask is unlike any other I've used. Unopened, it sounds like a heavy liquid when the container is shaken; I'm used to masks that are "solid" and extremely thick, but was looking for an exfoliating mask because my skin gets very dry and flaky in winter. Got this one because I was offered a discount in exchange for an honest review. Used it last night for the first time...<br /><br />It should probably be well-shaken before each use, and it looks very strange. Kind of a greenish-grey pearlescence, and it is a "runny" mask. A little goes a long way, too! I was surprised. There must be at *least* 20 treatments in this little jar. Required less than two teaspoons to do my entire face and under the jawline.<br /><br />It feels strange. Kind of an icy-hot sting in the beginning; interesting, but not uncomfortable. It doesn't feel as though it would do a lot of exfoliating, and it doesn't dry quickly (maybe it's not supposed to dry, at all). The instructions said to leave it on for 20 minutes, but I left it on for an hour. At that point, it was flaky. Rather than simply rinse it off, I rubbed it off with my fingers, and THAT was definitely exfoliating. This wouldn't work with any of the other masks I've used, and I really liked being able to easily/gently rub every bit off using my fingers. Post-rub, my face felt very dry, but after rinsing with warm water that feeling went away and my skin was SO soft.<br /><br />Today when I awoke, my skin felt great. No dry patches. I did still apply my usual three or four drops of cold argan oil, just because the humidity is so low right now.<br /><br />As-is, I like this mask much more than I thought I would when I first opened the jar (though it smells wonderful, again, it's very "liquid," which seemed strange before I'd actually used it). That said, I'll probably alternate between using it straight out of the jar and adding some bentonite to make it a bit thicker. Very happy to have this organic mask!<br /><br />REVIEWS: Most of my reviews are 4* and 5* whether for items I received at a discount in exchange for an honest review, items I purchased at the regular Amazon price, or things I've bought elsewhere but like or hate enough to write a review. There are few bad reviews because I research every purchase I make, and junk even at a discount is still junk. I try not to buy junk (and I only exchange reviews for discounts with items I actually want and use). A bad review means I didn't do my homework (or fell for some crafty hype) and made a big mistake.
