Very nice wax
Learning Curve
It is very difficult to get precise removal. I wax around my eyebrow then tweeze closer if needed. I do not alter the shape of my eyebrows so this works well for me but could be a deal breaker for you. If not, or you are quite skilled, read on.<br /><br />At first I thought I made a mistake buying this. There was a learning curve, for me, and this is how I made it work:<br /><br />1. I suggest using a candle, I use a votive. This gives me full control of the melt so I can focus on the stick and application. I could not manage to do this with a lighter. BE CAREFUL until you learn what the wax looks like at a safe temperature. Blowing on the wax fixes an overheat easily.<br /><br />2. This was my first time using a wax of this nature, so I came to find I needed a much thicker layer to ensure full removal the first go. I have thick dark hair so you may get away with less, play around with it. My application looks like a multicolored, gloppy mess when it is ready to remove because I need time to build and spread it properly.<br /><br />3. I use the stick for removal. I pull my skin taught, touch the tip of the wax stick to the edge of my application and pull. You can feel when it grips. I do not lift the stick up away from my skin at all. I keep it close and pull against the hair growth. This ensures I won't have to go over the same spot again.<br /><br />I have sensitive skin and this is the first wax where the redness leaves my face. Before I would have to make sure to wax in the evening, apply something like Neosporin, and hope the redness was gone by the morning. It would always linger somewhere so I used my concealer on already irritated inflamed skin. Ouch! Tweezing and epilating would break me out around my lip area, removal creams had the same effect as waxing but I had to use it more often, and I couldn't use the buff paper because, again, sensitive skin. Would I appreciate if this was a little more forgiving on technique, yes! I am not the most patient or skilled person. Avoiding the aftermath, however, makes it worth it for me.
