Very Good

The texture is a little different, but it does a good job, no less than the previous texture. Need to take a small amount, like a kernel of olive and even less, rub well between the hands/fingers and then make the hair as you want and it holds the hair very nicely.

The other reviews are unfair... I'm happy this product is back

I felt compelled to write this review because of all the other bad reviews, which I think are very unfair. And I don't want this product that I love to be discontinued because of a bad average rating! I've used the old Dirt since 2010, it was my go-to product. I was very upset when it became unavailable for over a year, I thought it had been discontinued but I was relieved when I found out it was going through a redesign and coming back. This new Dirt is different, that's true, but the aim is to make it more sustainable, which is a very good reason for a redesign! The packaging is beautiful (I love that it uses glass now instead of plastic), and the materials are vegan and environmentally-friendly. True, because of this it's a bit harder to emulsify, but in my opinion it does just as good of a job once you manage to get it emulsified (it just takes a bit more rubbing then before). It's the same level of hold as before (which was never very strong originally, as it is just a texturizing paste), and the smell is wonderful, one of my favorite things about it.<br />I'm not afraid to recommend it! If you've never tried the old version, don't be swayed by these negative reviews, they're biased!

Glad I purchased!

It’s a little different from the original product but I didn’t find this a big deal at all. Yes it’s a little drier (almost spongelike in the container), but I don’t have any issues getting it to emulsify or applying it to my hair. I remember having to really rub the old product in my fingers as well so it didn’t make my hair look greasy. This one is drier, but takes about the same amount of effort and has a similar volumizing effect which I love. Overall the smell is just as I remember and it works pretty much the same as the old stuff. Love it and so glad I purchased despite the negative reviews!
