Convenient, but lasted seven months.
I used a Dorco Pace 7 for a while until the head broke off and I couldn't put more razor replacements on it. So I bought this. It lasted 7 months and then it broke. Now I have to order another. I don't want to order another but i have six packs of razor blades. Dorco is out of business and I'm afraid this "7II" which doesn't seem to exist anywhere outside of Amazon, is some ripoff version. I will buy the Dorco 7 and not this and hope it lasts longer than 7 months. Then I'm switching to a different system
My favorite razor
This is my second time purchasing this razor and I do not regret repurchasing. It gives me a very close shave and does not go dull easily.
Excellent blades
I've been re-ordering these for several years.
Best. Shave. Ever.
The absolute best shave ever. I have been using Dorco 7 for years. I bought the first time thinking 7 blades was overkill and found it's as good as it gets.
Awesome
Best razor I've ever used.
Men drop other razors and try this one.
My husband received this razor yesterday and immediately tried it. His response was best razor ever. Very close smooth and comfortable shave. Will definately buy again.
Great razor
Bought this for my husband for Christmas! Cleanest shave he’s had in 7 years
Dorco Pace 7II is a good blade but Has NO Trimmer! why the false advertisement?
As the headline states: Dorco Pace 7II - Has NO Trimmer!
First i am expected to write a honest review. it is not easy after being cheated to believe that the product i am ordering is a Seven Blade Razor System with Trimmer? when there is no Trimmer at all in this model.
Now for the blades themselves, compared to other products from Dorco such as the popular 6 Pace Pro/Sport with a Trimmer. the quality of the Pace 7 blades is significantly better. first and most important difference is the minimal rate of cuts caused by the blade compared to the 6 pace which leaves me bleeding after every shave, and it's trimmer is excellent for wrist slashing! but not for shaving anything delicate as the skin above the lips and under the nose. Hence i am being generous and rating 4 stars despite the lack of a Trimmer, with the thought that if that's the kind it's lacking perhaps it's for the better. however the cartridge design by itself is not narrow enough to allow reaching those trimmer requiring spots which means that the product is not complete or perfect in it's own and i have to use a trimmer placed on one of the razors from other brands i use. (i have all of them, so when i compare one to another i do it based on frequent and immediate switching and using).
Second good point is that when i try to pick up the potentially missed regions with a blade from Shick Hydro 5 or Gillette fusion 5 series. then there are very little remaining missed regions left if any at all.
which is a good thing, however it feels that i need to work bit longer and pass few more times with the Pace 7II specially in the curved chin area and the problematic sides of the neck regions (but no brand has good enough solution for that region so far) i like my shave as close as possible and i judge the blades by very strict physical testing. i can conclude and say it is a well designed cartridge with premium blades, the lack of a dubious trimmer is left as an open question. perhaps a solution similar to Shick Hydro would be perfect in this case.
the Handle is of the simple kind, no 3D movement also no movement to the sides. for such price it should include their 3D handle.
as for value for money, well since having 7 blades is regarded as novelty and a gimmick that only Dorco has by this time, i understand they can ask a premium price for it. however it's not better than the leading competitors with 5 blades, but only an equal level premium competitor that lacks a trimming solution.
hence my verdict is it is not a good value for money at the current pricing 21.90$ (i paid 17.90$) for a pack including 1 Handle with 4 Cartridges.
