My son's hair is long, thick, and curly. Every morning, it takes me a long time to get through, and I've been looking for a better brush. This brush claims to be able to detangle curly hair, and it does. I still had to work in layers, but everything went smoothly. Before, during, and after photos are available.<br /><br />I wish there was some kind of explanation on the website or on an instruction insert. I received the brush and an extra piece of plastic, but no explanation on what to do with it or why. I realized I needed to secure the plastic piece to the back of the brush. I'm not sure what this design is supposed to accomplish.<br />Without a hard back, the brush did not feel sturdy. I was afraid it would fall apart while I was using it. But it didn't. Perhaps this design is on purpose for some reason, but it is not explained.<br /><br />I deducted one star for the brush's lack of sturdiness and because my son didn't like the way it felt. He described it as feeling more like a comb than a brush. As a result, while functional, it may not be comfortable for everyone. I still gave it four stars because it completed the task I set for it.
