My hair is natural and I consider it to be between 4B and 4C...shoulder length when stretched and fine but getting fuller/thicker as time goes on. I had some previous patches and damage from relaxers, bond weaving, then tight sew-ins and twists with extensions. I'm now just wearing my natural hair and it's really been a challenge, but feels great to see it healthy and growing.<br /><br />I am some what of a hair product "junkie"...primarly because I'm looking for products that work with my natural hair. Needless to say, I have tried tons of products trying to accomplish shingled/ defined curls. I have used eco styler type gels with leave in conditioner, the curls come out defined, but hard. They claim to be alcohol free, but they are still drying. And I'm not sure that I want to see the long term effects of those drying gels. Those types of gels, do save me time, so I won't say that I will never use them again. However, this Dr. Miracles Curl Care Strong Hold Gel gives me soft curls that last throughout the day. I love it!<br /><br />I will say that with the eco styler type gels I am able to refresh my curls for about 2 days with a spray bottled and plain water. I have not found a way to refresh Dr. Miracles Curl Care Strong Hold Gel. So, I go through the process of completely wetting my hair in the morning and applying the product section by section. My hair looks great afterwards, but being able to refresh would save me some time in the mornings. I still give the product 5 stars. My hair looks and feels healthy.. and my curls are soft and they pop!
