For me, a soft pillow that still retains its shape works best. This pillow fits those needs perfectly!

My wife bought one of these for me when she found it on sale. It's very comfortable and breathable.<br /><br />When my Grandma told me that she would like a new pillow, I ordered one for me and she also loves it. She goes on and on about how how it doesn't make her sweat.

Super soft, maybe a little too soft.
This is probably the softest, lightest pillow you will lay your head-on. It will take some getting used to the softness of the pillow because it will feel like your head is sleeping on a piece of cloth filled with clouds. This is good and bad for some people, some say it may be a little too soft because there is very little firmness to it, but after about a week It felt completely natural to me.<br /><br />If you do purchase this pillow I recommend that you also buy a second firmer pillow to put under it, along with some type of fabric freshener. Since I tend to sweat at night my pillow easily started to smell a bit.<br /><br />I can't really say whether it helps with neck pain because I never really had neck pain.
