I have been trying different shampoo bars for a few years now- and I have finally landed on the keeper. I have like Ethique and Lush but not LOVED them because my hair is somewhat hard to detangle. I wanted something that didn't have a perfumey smell. cleaned my hair well, left it shiny and manageable and wasn't $1000 dollars. I am so glad I tried Foamie. The net bag really does help it foam and clean better and I can run a brush through my wet hair right out of the shower using only the bar and no additional conditioner or detangler! Helpful hint on scents: The Hibiscus (pin box) is VERY overwhelming. I couldn't even take it out of the box and had to return it. Both the Aloe (teal box) and Coconuts (Lilac box) have light fresh smells and they both work equally as well. I can't recommend these bars enough! I was able to get them on a sale which certainly makes the price better. I'm not sure I would be as excited for it at $10 each but at $5 each I am stocking up!!!!! Comparatively - even at $10 it is a better product and comparable price per wash to the others I've tried.
Works well
I have short grey/white naturally curly hair that has a tendency to dry out so I am picky about my hair products. After using this shampoo I can say that it keeps my hair soft with no frizzes. I like that you can hang it in the shower so it lasts longer since it doesnโt get the soap scum from laying in a container. The scent is nice without being overly strong. I use the conditioner too since my hair is dry.
No Plastic!
Shampoo in bar form, with a mesh bag for hanging. It does a fine job washing my hair, and there is no plastic to have to dispose of. I have used bar soap to wash my hair in the past, but this is actual shampoo, which is formulated differently so it is kind to your hair.
Rinses Out Easily
Easy to Use, I just had surgery & not able to shower until arm sling & bandages come off. I used this shampoo bar, 1 handed,<br />at the kitchen sink. It lathered well, but is soap free & easily rinsed out leaving squeaky clean hair. I had to let my very wavy hair air dry & it looked clean, healthy, shiny and very manageable. I'm in hot humid Arkansas and in/out multiple times in the day. My hair held up fine & looks like it's been styled, win/win ๐
Smells good
I bought this wanting to purge my shampoo bottles and use a more โenvironmentalโ friendly option. Well the scent is great, foaming up is decent, but doesnโt really wash as well as I wanted, and wish the scent lasted longer.
