Best Shampoo For Thick Hair

I normally don’t write reviews but this product deserves it. I wanted to eliminate the use of plastic and found this shampoo bar. I have thick, coarse, frizzy hair and lots of it. I honestly thought all shampoos gave me the same effect no matter what brand/ price until I met this one. While this shampoo takes a bit of trial and error, once you adjust to it, it’s phenomenal. My hair is tame and looks healthier than it ever did. I would recommend this shampoo to anyone who has the same hair type as myself.

Perfect for clean AND Detangled hair!

I have been trying different shampoo bars for a few years now- and I have finally landed on the keeper. I have like Ethique and Lush but not LOVED them because my hair is somewhat hard to detangle. I wanted something that didn't have a perfumey smell. cleaned my hair well, left it shiny and manageable and wasn't $1000 dollars. I am so glad I tried Foamie. The net bag really does help it foam and clean better and I can run a brush through my wet hair right out of the shower using only the bar and no additional conditioner or detangler! Helpful hint on scents: The Hibiscus (pin box) is VERY overwhelming. I couldn't even take it out of the box and had to return it. Both the Aloe (teal box) and Coconuts (Lilac box) have light fresh smells and they both work equally as well. I can't recommend these bars enough! I was able to get them on a sale which certainly makes the price better. I'm not sure I would be as excited for it at $10 each but at $5 each I am stocking up!!!!! Comparatively - even at $10 it is a better product and comparable price per wash to the others I've tried.

Love it!

My daughter gave this to me for Christmas. I was skeptical despite her encouragement. I finally tried it, and I'm a believer. This bar left my hair super soft and shiney. It doesn't feel weighted down ot greasy. I'm a customer from now on!

Less expensive than other brands

I have used the lush shampoo bar and I loved it. It lathered quickly, smelled nice, and cleaned my hair well. It was pricey though at $13.95 per bar for the type I used. This was less expensive, and it did work fairly well. I used the mesh bag, but unlike other reviewers, I found this did not lather as well or as quickly as my Lush shampoo bar. I always wash my hair twice, but with this I had to because I could not get a good lather the first time. My hair is past my shoulders, but it is extremely thin and fine, so I feel I should have been able to get a lather quicker. Also, the scent, although not unpleasant, is quite strong to me. This is the third day after washing with the Foamie bar though, and my hair is still clean and that is the most important thing to me. I took off a star for the scent and the lathering not being as good as the Lush brand, but that is the only brand other than Foamie I have used, so this might be well above other brands besides Lush.
