Exactly what I expected from the picture. I have thick hair, and this thing clamps closed all the way around it, which made me happy since hair clips are often too tiny for my hair. It adds a chic touch to my hair when I don't feel like doing much with it. Also, I've used it twice so far (and taken it on and off several times) and it gives no sign of breaking any time soon, as long as you unclamp the gold part first, and then pull the black hair tie off. Overall pleasantly satisfied with this product

Looks great, but I can't actually get the cuff to close all the way. Partially due to the thickness of my hair, but mostly due to the thickness of the elastic band.

A little tight on the hair. If you have thick hair like me, it might be a tight fit on a ponytail. However, once on it looks just great. It's an easy way to dress up a lazy hair day. I've started wearing these to work. I get lots of compliments on what would have looked like a lazy tomboy ponytail, which is great, because that is the only hairstyle I do in the mornings.

After some usage the ring that holds the elastic band on broke off. Thats fine with me as you can make a regular pony tail and just put this over it anyway without having the elastic attached. (Actually it's easier). Don't leave it where it can get wet (around a sink or anything) as it will tarnish.
