I like this barrette a lot. It is durable, simple and the hinge allows for easy and versatile use. I just wish this was available in silver as well, because I don't particularly care for gold.

These classic barrettes are hard to find and also hard to beat if you want a refined and understated look. I use them to pull a section of my thick, long, and somewhat curly hair to the back of my head. Very elegant.

Back when dinosaurs roamed the earth, I would get a new pack of Goody barrettes each September. They lasted the whole school year. I'm just guessing but I think they were made in the USA and probably are not anymore.<br /><br />Its been years since my coarse, thick hair has been long enough for barrettes. I bought Goody for old time sake. The finish chipped off within days. They didn't hold my hair. I was sad.<br /><br />These are lovely. I haven't had them very long but the finish has stayed very nice so far. They look and feel more like jewelry than a hair clip. I like the hinged bar....its easy for me to manipulate. They hold my hair and stay put. I will likely get more.
