I have curly, thick, course, frizzy, wirey hair. I finally have a freshly scented gel to control it! Made for REALLY curly and frizzy hair, do not use if you're hair is more manageable as it will just weigh it down and make it look wet and glued.

It's an ok hold, doesn't spike hair but it will help hold in place and give a little texture and wave. 3 large jars. Hope you like it is what my husband said when he opened the box.
Good for curly hair
I used to use the garnier super stiff hair gel, but it was discontinued. This gel isn't a perfect match by any means to that one, but it is nice and thick so it holds curls well. It doesn't have silicone so it washes out nicely.

Not as good as the old gel but decent
Their old ultra strong gel was fantastic, and I've been looking for a replacement ever since they discontinued it. I've tried Garnier's other gels, and they don't work as well, but then I discovered this one and was ecstatic to see that they'd brought back an iteration of their old gel. However, this isn't nearly as good. That said, it works great. It has a slightly better hold than their other gels. I have short, messy hair, so I need really strong gel that doesn't feel like glue when dry, and this fits the bill for the most part. Not as good as the old one, but I'm happy.
Stops my hair from looking like a cotton ball!
Honestly, that title is as accurate as it gets! I found this during a recent trip to Puerto Rico. I had left my gel at home and having curly hair it's never a good thing in a humid climate. Got mine from Walmart there and finished using the jar once home. Unfortunately, I can't find it anywhere locally, thanks Amazon for this product! I like that it has great hold, doesn't flake, once applied I can just spritz my hair for the next few days and still holding. I don't like that it does tend to dry the hair some but hey, small price to pay, right?
