GEL WOUND KIT (3) 1 OZ BOTTLES

I found this stuff locally, for only a couple bucks more. We had to make a bullet wound for my husband and radiation burns for me for halloween costumes. He was Abe Lincoln and I was Marie Curie.<br /><br />[...]<br /><br />Here's some of the results and instructions for use, the booklet that comes with the kit is better though and quite helpful.<br /><br />I will say that you do need more than these three bottles alone to make your wounds. You also need a color wheel of makeup for burns/wounds - black, purple, red, browns. Since we were zombies, I also used a base layer of white paint to make my skin ashen. You will need wedges or a cheap brush to apply the gel. You need water slightly hotter than hot tap water to melt the gel before you can use it. You'll have to play with it to get the right temperature - too hot and it will run right off the area you want it to be in, too cold and it won't dispense. I had to blow on it a few times during application to get it to set, and it wasn't even that hot.<br /><br />As long as you do a red/black layer of paint on your skin BEFORE applying this gel, it will look great. If you don't, the blood gel is too bright red when in a single or even double layer.<br /><br />I also used some very thin fried egg white to make myself burned skin to stick on top and inside the gel. With the blood on top, it looked great.<br /><br />If you don't set the results with setting powder, it will be sticky to the touch. Just use a light dusting and blow off the excess - any visible white powder remaining will disappear on its own after a few minutes.
