War on Friction
This product is sold on several different pages on Amazon.com. Whether it’s listed as being for wall clocks, folding knives or typewriters, it’s all the same stuff.<br /><br />And it’s pretty good stuff. I recently rebuilt an antique record player. I wanted to update it with a modern cartridge that uses as lot less pressure and that meant that I needed the tonearm to have a lot less friction.<br /><br />I initially did the rebuild with standard 3-in-1 oil. It was partially successful. Warped or off center records wouldn’t play. I decided to tear down and try again with Liquid Bearings and it worked. I can play any record now.<br /><br />I like the precision needle tip. It’s a lot easier to use than the usual spout on 3-in-1 oil cans.<br /><br />I bought a small bottle and only used a small fraction of it. I tossed my can of 3-in-1 and kept the Liquid Bearings. It worked for me! 5 Stars.
