Original Gillette M3 Power Razor better than new black handled one
I first purchased the Gillette M3 Power Razor in 2004 when they were first released. I was just not happy with the Gilette I was using. It was exactly what I was looking for. Wet the face, lather with a small amount of shaving cream, turn on the razor and what a surprise, easier smoother shave. I was pleased. That razor lasted until November 2009 when the green off/on switch popped out and washed down the drain. I stopped at the drug store that night and found the new (improved ???) black handled M3 Razor. The next morning I used it, seemed ok but something was missing that I could not hang a wisker on. In January, it refused to turn on when I tried to use it. I started to replace the battery and noticed that the plastic support that holds the battery in place was crumbling. That is when I started an internet search for the original M3. I found it on amazon decided to order two just to play it safe. at the same time, I read a single review that stated that the razor made the persons neck break out. Started me thinking, I wondered how many newly wiskered youngsters tried shaving without a clue as to what they were doing; after all, there are no instructions on how to shave!!<br /><br />An aside, Gillette has a new super M3 like razor with a 5th blade, costing a lot more money. I thought about it but ordered the Original M3 Power razor anyway. I highly recommend this to anyone who wants a clean shave without breaking the bank over blade replacement. Battery lasts a good three or more months, blades a dozen shaves, depending on beard thickness. Just remember to use water and shave cream or soap, good lather and go for it. For us oldsters, we already know how to shave and know a good Razor when we see it. Gillette, your new improved black handled M3 replacement just does not cut it. I have 5 stars for the Oldie but Goodie!

The Razor that cuts away the competition
It is such a simple idea. Take a manual razor and an electric razor and create a hybrid electrical manual razor at a cheap price. Forget about buying any kind of electrical razor or manual razor again. This thing works using a single AAA battery (and is worth investing in some rechargable AAA batteries) which slips into the base by pulling out the end piece. Just press the green button and the razor starts to vibrate. This vibration stimulates the skin and gets those hairs to prick up a little bit so that razor blades (all three baldes, i.e - Mach III/M3) catch better creating a cleaner smoother cut. To be honest the old Mach III model was absolutely great but the M3 Power razor just upgrades that razor into a totally new device. There is simply nothing on the market that remotely resembles this kind of product... nothing. I would not hesitate in sending anyone down to the local drug store with a $20 to pick up this wonderful product that... quite frankly... just making shaving enjoyable again!
