Remarkable Herb
I've been taking this product for about two weeks, and I am amazed at how effectively it works to 1) elevate mood, 2) minimize irritability, and 3) decrease depression. After trying several different dose amounts at different times of day, I've settled on taking 680mg in the morning with breakfast (two caplets). I was having trouble going to sleep when taking this in evening, so morning works better for me.<br /><br />I also take 360mg of [[ASIN:B006A4G3II Ginkgo Biloba]] and 600mg of [[ASIN:B001KYW6WK Panax Ginseng]].<br /><br />In general, my mood thirty minutes after a dose is one of calm, clear, balanced, focused happiness. I think more clearly about whatever decisions I have to make, and it helps me to organize my thoughts to tackle the day's tasks.<br /><br />I highly recommend trying this if you're mild to moderately depressed, suffer from anxiety, or (like me) just get irked by jerky, aggressive, and unbalanced people too easily. Rhodiola seems to diminish sour mood.<br /><br />Coincidentally, I've seen my chess playing sharpen considerably. I've won or placed in the Top 3 in four chess tournaments the past two weeks. Concentration and focus is much improved.<br /><br />I think the combo of Rhodiola, Panax Ginseng, and Ginkgo Biloba is remarkable. Poke around online and read some of the peer-reviewed scientific articles on these herbs. There is compelling data on all three in a variety of scholarly journals. My typical dose (as described above) lasts at optimum for 4-6 hours.

I am thankful for these herbal supplements. I've been taking them for about 6 years. I usually take them consistently for about 8 months and then a month or two off to clean out my system (I've heard this helps the liver process the herbs efficiently). They are extremely effective in elevating my mood, creating peace of mind, managing irritability and dealing with stress. I have never been diagnosed with depression, but get the blues and cranky from time to time and this product definitely helps!! I purchase directly at the gnc store, but I notice amazon is selling for less money, so next time I need a refill I'll try purchasing from here. I've tried others brands of rhodiola trying to save a few bucks (I.e. vitamin shoppe) and nothing comes close to the gnc brand. It's the best! I take one a day first thing in the morning on an empty stomach and that does the trick. I've never experienced any negative side effects. I personally wouldn't take it past noon because I wouldn't want it to effect my peaceful nights rest. You get a slight energy buzz. Nothing drastic though. I've read people complain of rapid heartbeat or anxiety, but I've never experienced anything like that and I'm super sensitive to caffeine and all stimulants, but this is nothing like those (doesn't contain caffeine). It gives me a blissful, energetic feeling. My husband is thankful for them too because I'm nicer to him when I take it :-) I've also noticed it helps regulate my menstrual cycles and pms symptoms. It is also reported to help with fertility problems. All around a great herbal supplement. Very effective!

worth trying
it did help me get out of my phy tiredness, seem to have more ambition to do something after a few days of taking it , i had been sick a few weeks before and my immune system seemed so low , but feel much better now
