Perfect for Deep Conditioning and Coloring
I just purchased this cap and I love it. I'm not sure what happened to every one else's caps but mine is just fine. It is a DEEP CONDITIONING cap. It's not going to get blow dryer curling iron hot. It is meant to simply activate whatever product you are using to maximize results. The heat from you head can activate products so imagine something significantly hotter, but not HOT. We are so used to sitting up under a hot dryer at the salon that we fail to realize the true intent of this product. Plus too much heat can cause damage. It was money well spent!
Great Heat Cap
You won't find me writing may reviews but I had to defend this heat cap! I have had the cap about six months now and I love it. I use it on my relaxed hair as well as my two daughters who are natural. The cap has the three settings and I use high now what I found out is that the cap will get hot then shut off and start back up again. I really like this because having something very hot on your head constantly can be a pain sometimes. So as for me once I understood how it worked I look forward to my deep conditioner days (twice a week). My girls like it as well and I am able to wear my glasses, surf the web and use my kindle with no problems. It leaves our hair sooo soft would tell everyone to buy this product.

I love it!!! I've been natural for a little over a year now. It doesn't get too hot which is great because too much heat damages the hair. I don't care what anybody else says! The cap heats up and cuts off and back on again. You really don't need to use it for longer than 30 minutes. I treated my hair with moisturizing cream, argan oil , curling jelly, 2 stranded twist on slightly damp hair. My hair was super soft again!

I literally bought my Gold N Hot heat cap in 2003. I just used it last night for a hot oil treatment and it works great. I use this cap for coloring my hair and for deep conditioning treatments. Using heat on my hair colors makes them last a very, very long time: I use semi-permanent hair colors and they can last 6 months or more. Heat for deep conditioning helps the conditioner penetrate, leaving my hair very soft and strong.<br /><br />My cap came with a small, thin plastic cap to use underneath it, to protect it from getting wet or sticky or stained. I lost that a few years ago so now I use a few plastic grocery bags.<br /><br />It gets very hot on the high setting, so I usually use it on medium or low. It gets the job done very well. I've worn it for hours at a time with no problems.<br /><br />Sometimes it makes a buzzing noise. At first I found that a little alarming, but no harm has ever come of it.<br /><br />I recommend this product to all my friends. It is a game-changer in hair care.
