The first Goodys Brushes I bought are twenty-three years old. These brushes should last as long due to the same design.
The color was different (blue with black bristles) and the bristles feel a little "sharper" than my 20 year old cream colored Goodys Brushes. I was looking for a Goodys Brush For my son because he likes mine so much. (We both have longer hair than his mom) These brushes are the best brush for guys with long hair. The design prevents any "catching" as you brush out knots. Brushes with little "balls" on the tips of the bristles, get caught in knots. Then the little balls pull off leaving uncomfortably sharp bristle tips.<br /><br />The "Original" Goodys Brushes I have, have lasted since 1993. I have two large ones and a number of miniatures. Their design, one of simplicity, has allowed the to last 23 years with only minor bristle breakage. The bristles are wider at the base and tips than the newer brushes; and the bristle tips are rounder than the newer bristles. The new bristles are black in color, compared to the opaque bristles of the original. Not being sure about the composition of the bristles; I am unable to tell you if they will last as long as the originals.<br /><br />All in all; my son is very pleased to have his own Goodys Brushes which are distinguishable from mine. Hopefully we will get twenty years out of the new ones. If nothing else; the price is right if you buy in bulk. Six of these should, barring loss, last a lifetime.
