It's a very nice nozzle
As most of the reviews state, this is a heavy duty metal spray head. HOWEVER, if you think that you can just remove the male quick connect and thread the spray head directly onto your hose, you are WRONG!!! The threads of the hose do not mate with the threads of the spray head. Hopefully, the one I received is defective and this is not a design flaw.<br /><br />Update.... The seller contacted me to let me know that they shipped the European model, with metric threads, to the USA Amazon distribution center by mistake. They corrected the mistake and now I have a great hose nozzle that threads onto my American hose. Who knew hose threads were not standard around the world.
Heavy Duty
I was delightfully surprised by the heft of this spray nozzle! It has a nice weight to it and I can tell it's well-made to last a long time. I have been through 4 hose nozzles in the last year and most are made from cheap plastic that cracks, rendering them useless. But THIS Growom Garden Hose Nozzle works wonderfully, was easy to install, and is NOT made of plastic! It's a winner for me.
Very heavy duty!
Really nice heavy duty garden hose. My husband was even impressed by it. It's very solid, and heavy, definitely doesn't feel like it will be breaking anytime soon. It's easy to fit to your hose and to use. You can adjust the water spray, and it has the lock feature so that you can keep the water running without holding the handle down. Overall I think this sprayer has it all!
Heavy duty and solid feel
Quite impressed with this sprayer, it feels heavy duty and has a good finish on it. It comes with a few extra gaskets so there are no leaks from the connectors. The spring action handle is solid and easy to use. The adjustable spraying pattern makes it ideal to use on a large garden or on potted plants.
All metal has its pros and cons.
Nicely made and sturdy with a good finish. The operation has been smooth, and its design with the valve directly in the middle should be a more durable design than a spray nozzle that relies on a pull piston.<br /><br />The brass tip screws in and out to adjust the spray pattern, from a gentle mist to a sharp stream. No flat or rectangular spray patterns; just the basics. The extra hose washers are a nice bonus. I did not use the quick connect, as I don't have a standard female connector; it unscrews easily.<br /><br />But I currently can't use it for one major reason -- the weather. It's been around 100 degrees in recent weeks, and with the hot water comes a very hot metal spray nozzle -- so hot that I feel like I'll burn my hands, even though this has been left in the shade. That goes with any all metal nozzle, though, so I'm not docking my rating; it's just something to consider when choosing a spray nozzle. 5 stars (except right now in the summer).
Easy to connect to regular threaded hoses or a quick connect. Jet is powerful and spray is gently.
This is a vey well made spray nozzle. This is able to to be as a quick release or you can remove the attachment and thread it on to a regular hose without any issues. It comes with 2 extra rubber washers to help prevent leaking while in use. All you do is twist the tip go the nozzle to change it from a spar to a jet stream. The jet is fairly powerful and does a good job at cleaning porches ,driveways house siding, etc. Just be careful on paint, especially old paint while on the jet stream as it can and will likely chip away pieces of paint. This is very well made, very durable, and works as you would expect. I have only used it a few times now but I give it a spritz of wd-40 when I am done to help prevent it form rusting, This could be overkill but it is showing no signs of rust. This does a good job of cleaning off siding and in the spray function it does well at watering flowers too. This is an overall good spray nozzle and should last quite some time.
This is a BEAUTIFUL design, and very ergonomic
The first thing I noticed when I unpacked this nozzle was its WEIGHT. Then its BEAUTIFUL "liquid" sleek design. And then its Ergonomics -- how nicely it fits in my hand!! It fits in such a way that my hand does not get tired from holding and operating it -- which means I get to spend more time using it.<br /><br />What a contrast between this (fairly inexpensive!!) beautiful hose nozzle and the usual plastic ones you find at your local hardware and garden stores!!<br /><br />I can't fault the price - it is WORTH it for such a beautiful and very functional nozzle. It attaches easily to the hose, the spray patterns are well-thought-out -- settings that range from washing and flushing dirt and grit from the car and all its crevices, to a setting that gently mists plants or dogs.
