GREAT SCENT & effective moisturizer with a novel "gel butter" texture
I *LOVE* the scent. Normally I do not like face creams with scent since fragrance can sometimes irritate my skin. But this one doesn't bother my skin, and it smells SO GOOD. I would wear this smell as a perfume if I could -- it's light and refreshing, almost like a peach and white tea scent.<br /><br />The cream has an unusual texture -- like a "gel butter". Richer than a gel cream, but it still has that slippery feeling. It leaves skin shiny at first but dries / absorbs fully after a few minutes.<br /><br />The cream ingredients are also excellent, packed with top antioxidants (like NELUMBO NUCIFERA GERM EXTRACT aka lotus seed extract, CENTELLA ASIATICA LEAF EXTRACT, and MADECASSOSIDE) in addition to the various great sprout extracts that give the cream its name "blessing of sprout". All the plant extracts have proven anti-oxidant or skin-soothing benefits.<br /><br />The main moisturizing ingredient is SHEA BUTTER - my skin likes shea butter, especially now that I'm older, especially in winter. Very good for dry skin.
Really liking the blessing of sprout products
It took me a while to try this out and I finally was able to. When I opened it, at first I thought the cream went bad. The texture just looked different. Usually face creams look smooth but this had almost a goopy look before even putting my finger into it and testing it out. I came here and noticed that everyone pretty much had the same experience and it wasn’t that my jar that went bad - so I figured it was safe to put on my skin.<br /><br />Upon applying, it is a bit tacky and sticky feeling but after rubbing it in to my skin and letting it settle, it fully absorbed into my skin. I loved the smell of this product. I thought it moisturized quite well without being too heavy or light. I wanted to try this cream because it uses lotus extract and other sprouts, which is just different from most of the western face cream products out there. I’m sure one day western products will catch up and do the same thing as Asian/Korean beauty products, as I have seen time and time again. I also paired this product with the serum from the same product line, and have been loving how my skin feels.
Interesting cream that starts of like a butter then liquifies with your body heat
This facial cream comes in a beautiful frosted glass jar. When you open the jar, the cream inside of it is not one of those lotion types but more a butter type of cream, very solid and almost waxy. Don’t be alarmed it did not go rancid or bad, that is just how this cream is. You will scoop some of it out and will notice it actually smells pretty good. With the heat of your skin it also starts to liquify somewhat and makes it easier to apply to your skin.<br /><br />At this point it absorbs pretty easily and quickly into the skin. There were no issues there at all. I for one really liked this cream and it absorbs fully without leaving any residue behind on the skin. The skin actually feels soft and smooth and smells great, sadly only for a few minutes though since the fragrance does fade fairly quickly, but the softness stays. My skin felt moisturized and was rather happy. All in all this is a great little find.
