Works better than other brushes and is well tolerated by a very fussy dog!!
At first I thought the design made the product look rather gimmicky. I decided to try it because a) the price was reasonable, and b) the bristles are covered at the tips, and I thought they might not bother my dogโs very sensitive, allergy-prone skin as much. My dog has never tolerated brushing very well; she wonโt stand still, and runs off at the first opportunity. But this time, she stood very still, and let me brush her as much as I wanted to. I was sincerely amazed.<br /><br />Also, I found that the design made it easier to use. Something about the way that itโs held in the hand like a lollipop, perhaps, or has the bristles arranged on a round surface (instead of a rectangular one), made it much easier to pull through her thick fur, a little at a time. It removed a lot of her loose undercoat fur, and I cleaned the brush numerous times. Now, however, itโs removing much less as there is less to remove, and this is a very nice change for both my dog and for me, believe us!<br /><br />I recommend this product highly.
It works
This little brush works on my very fluffy long-haired cat. Love that you can clean it with a tap of a button. My short haired cat likes the grooming mitts better.

Both of our dogs are shedders constantly. They shed a dog's worth of hair practically every day it seems like. These do well and the dogs actually like to be brushed with them. Easy to clean too - just press the trigger and the hair falls off.
The Best - actually works!
This is the best brush of this type and I have tried several. The pin brushes I have tried, scratch the pets skin, even the ones with rubber tips because the tip are so thin. This brush has nice thick rubber tips and my dog (a Russell), doesn't mind it. It also does a great job picking up loose hair. AND best of all, the Self Cleaning Slicker actually works!
Cat really enjoys this one.
I have 2 other brushes and the do the job but my cat doesnโt want me to get her chest or leg areas. This one she does. She actually drools when I brush her. Fur is combed without billowing around and it does make an easy little disc for quick disposal.
I mean it works a little
It does what itโs supposed to, just not as well as I hoped. It is super easy to remove hair you get off, but it doesnโt take off all the loose stuff like I feel like it should.
Cats
I bought this for the dog as she sheds horribly! She shakes and hair flyโs all over. So tried it on her and 10 minutes later pushed the button (cool) to release hair. 1 time! She shook and hair flew off. Tried it on a cat she seemed to like it, but you can only brush for a minute or two. It worked great! I emptied it 3 or 4 times. So I only deducted 1 star bc it didnโt work on the dog, but not useless as I can use on the cats after I corral them!
