My skin has been so irritated by our wild swings in weather this wintert that I decided to try powdered mineral makeup again, having used it years ago. I had stopped using powdered makeup, because as I aged, I found it settled in my lines and emphasized dry patches, especially in the winter. Added to the cost and poor color choice? It didn't seem worth it, except occasionally in the very humid end of summer. These IQ products, however, have changed my mind. They were reasonably priced (I bought a starter kit in a medium), the included little brush is very high quality and washes well (I wash my brushes once a week), and the colors work for me. I have a ruddy, fair complexion because of rosacea and acne scarring, so usually use a base with a little yellow undertone. In the kit, I received a "medium" and a "medium beige." I use one layer of both colors, which gives me good coverage all day. Most surprisingly, the mineral veil, which appears pure white in the container, does not whiten my skin, but actually sets and smoothes my makeup. I use it also on top of a liquid minteral makeup from another brand, and it does not cake! My skin appears to actually heal from this makeup, which leads me to believe I may have been lacking some essential mineral which this supplies. My eczema and peeling has almost disappeared. My skin's improvement led me to purchase the IQ brand primer, also. Before this, any primer caused me to break out, except for the 100% Pure brand, which is very expensive and gets oily throughout the day. The IQ primer, though, I can wear over my winter moisturizer, and under the mineral makeup, and I do not get oily even by the end of the day. It does amplify the coverage from the powder, and prevents any settling into the deep creases around mouth and cheeks. I am really pleased with this product line, and plan to buy a few more products next month to try--I see they have a new color in the mineral powder which looks like it would work for me, and I need a bronzer for spring and summer.

Easy and light
This works great. It’s easy to put on without much thought to how it goes on. Will get into the fine lines near the eyes so do buff it out good. And I accidentally put on too much mineral veil on once and was scarily pale! But I am glad I ordered this product and I will be reordering.
