Jade Roller Kit
This roller feels good on the face. It is for massaging the face and blood circulation. There are instructions to tell you how to do it.<br /><br />The Jades are a very beautiful color. And the kit comes with a little bag that is a VERY beautiful shade of green. So beautiful, I wanted to eat it up. (Those of you who know me know that I am a color person). I knew that green was my second favorite color. If red/pink didn't already fill the spot of my favorite color, then this shade of green would be it. Third favorite color is a tie between purple and orange.

I never thought I would like these. I mean, come on a roller for your face? But I admit I was wrong. The first few times were pleasant. I used them to spread my face oil around but I read that it's much better if it's cool. I put it in the fridge for an hour and OMG! Total turnaround. The bags under my eyes shrunk a bit but it feels so much better. I don't see the cosmetic changes but the coolness against my face after a long day at work. Two thumbs up.
Works Better Than Eye "Improving" Cosmetics For Puffiness
I was really surprised at the effect this roller had on my under-eye puffiness. The coolness of the stone and the gentle massage worked wonders. It has a relaxing effect when used on the eyebrows, the center of the forehead, around the mouth... the cooling, massaging action provides visible, as well as mental, benefits.<br /><br />I've tried all sorts of moisturizers that are supposed to do all kinds of things... and I'm rarely satisfied with any of them. From now on, this is my go-to to prepare for an evening out, or to relax after a long day. If you can't go to have a facial, this is the next best thing.<br /><br />While the stone is jade colored, I don't believe it is real jade, because of the price. It does seem to be stone, though, and not plastic.<br /><br />My roller does not squeak. Should it develop a squeak, I would guess a drop of olive oil on the rolling bar would eliminate that.<br /><br />It comes with a skin "scraper," simple instructions, a storage pouch, and a storage box with compartments.<br /><br />I wish I had known about these when I was younger - I would have started using them a long time ago. :)
This vs. Clarisonic Uplift?
I haven't been using this item long enough to report on any discernible difference in my face but I can speak to a couple of other interesting tidbits.<br /><br />I know that these have been in use for generations and they must work because people swear by them. If that weren't proof enough, I use my Clarisonic Uplift daily, and it comes with an attachment that does the exact same thing that this roller does, only with using technology. The instructions on this roller is to use it for 5-10 minutes a day, 2-3 times a day. That's a lot and I don't know of many people who care to carve out time to do this, but if you're sitting quietly watching TV or even reading, you can do it absentmindedly. With the Clarisonic, you're supposed to use it with a moisturizer or a serum but with this, you use it on a dry face. With or without a lotion, the massaging affect is exactly the same.<br /><br />The jade roller feels cool across the skin (even if mine does squeak a little) and it feels wonderful. I'm not sure it does anything if you're rolling it on your chest, but it feels amazing if done with a bit of pressure. It comes in a nice little Asian-inspired embroidered bag, so it doesn't look bad if you want to leave it on your bedside for easy access. I'm going to continue to use the Uplift each night but this item doesn't require a battery and I can whip it out anytime.
