Great for dry curly hair.
Works great for 4b/4c hair but leaves a lot of residue if applied before a heavy product
This stuff is honestly my lifesaver. Even though it's intended for locs you can still use it on undreaded hair, which is exactly what I do. I'm 4b/4c low porosity, and this thing is literally my whole wash n' go; it doesn't work very well if you put it on dry or damp hair, but if you put it on when your hair is soaking wet, it really works to moisturize your hair as well as curl define it! If you have to be somewhere I recommend putting it on an hour to thirty minutes before you have to leave depending on how thick your hair is, as it is best to put it on when sopping wet and leaves a lot of residue if you put a conditioner or cream on after. However, this usually goes away after it dries, so just wait for that, and your hair will be feeling much softer and have much more curl to it. The rest of my family has dreadlocks and it works wonders for them as well, it really helps to moisturize their scalp as well as keep their locs soft; the only reason I am rating this product four stars is because of the residue it leaves, and the fact that I can't leave a 4.5. It also has a pretty liquidy consistency, like a really runny cream. This can be annoying as it makes it easier to run down your arm as well as down the back of your neck, but it also makes it easier to apply and smooth into your hair. The stuff smells great as well, pretty fruity but not at all overwhelming. So overall, if I had to have only one product for my hair for my entire life, it would definitely be this one.
