+fragrance, +shine

This sunscreen was released in February 2021; I believe it is the reformulated version of Nivea’s Sun Care UV Milky Gel. Sadly, I dislike the changes made. Shine: The UV Deep Protect & Care Gel is greasier and leaves a shine on the face that persists hours after application. Some people like the dewy look, but I really don’t. I get that this is more oriented toward body and the essence is for face, but I think many customers would use this gel on the face. White cast: None Scent: Contains fragrance, which I generally dislike due to needless exposure to irritation/allergen risk. That said, if you do enjoy fragrance, this is an exceedingly pleasant lychee scent, with a bit of alcohol. Summary: Much better than most American sunscreens in terms of UV protection and cast, but there are more cosmetically elegant Japanese sunscreens available at this price point.
