I love this. I have been using this since I was 16 and I'm 37. I'm not Indian. I'm West Indian (Haitian). Anyway. I mix it with Aloe Vera gel. I liberally put it on my scalp but not so much on my hair itself. That was when my hair was loose (been natural all my life). When I'm loc'd however, only on my scalp and loose hair. I use something else for the loc'd hair itself. I always find loc'd hair and loose hair don't always need the same thing and that hair only is for one specific purpose for me.<br /><br />I also use it after a process. I coconut oil my hair heavily the night before (I sleep overnight with it---or wear it for 16 hours +). Then I shampoo and let dry. After that, I henna the hair. I let that sit for 2 hours +. However long I can stand it; as long as it's more than 2 hours. Then I retwist my hair.
