Omg, it works!
I thought I would give this heatless hair curler the ultimate challenge - my daughters thick, 3 ft long hair. My girl plans to grow her hair as long as possible. So, it's important to take special care of it, especially because she only allows it to be cut every few years. As much as possible, I discourage her from using any heated stylers. On special occasions, she wants to have it curled, and I've been looking for something that can handle her volume of hair effectively. I saw this product and was doubtful, but hopeful.<br /><br />We tried it out a day after she shampooed to allow her hair to fully dry. I watched a YouTube video on how to braid her hair onto the ribbon. It wasn't too difficult to do, but I think I'd have a way harder time trying to do my own hair. Surprisingly, I was able to fit all her hair onto the ribbon and tie it on top her head. She claimed it was fairly comfortable and was able to sleep with it on.<br /><br />The result in picture 3 was better than expected. The unevenness of the curls are due to my inexperience, but in general, I thought her hair came out very pretty. It lasted for a few hours, but I didn't put any product in, so it could’ve lasted a little longer. Highly recommend!
Pretty curls with very little effort
I have never used one of these before, but I have seen a ton of videos online of similar products and bathrobe belts, and was excited to try this. I was not disappointed. I have naturally curly hair, but I either have to spend time I don't have in the morning organizing the rats nest I wake up to, or just combing it and pulling it back. I used this on washed and conditioned damp hair with a touch of sculpting gel and leave in conditioner. I wrapped my hair, but I think I can figure out how to braid it to get a different look. I slept comfortably on the curling rod tied off on top of my head with the included wide headband over it. The next morning, I took it all apart and had a lot of very pretty curls! I touched up 3 spots in the back with a curling iron, but the curling rod did the majority of the work and I was amazed! I shook out my hair and parted it as usual, then ran a little more oil thru my ends. I had some frizz, but much less than with the heatless rollers I have tried before. I am going to try moving it back more toward the crown of my head to get the hair in the back better, but I am overall very pleased with this hair tool. You get quite bit for the price, and the best thing is that it works!
