One thing I have noticed about Lush products is that what you think might be one thing, is something completely different. I gave a friend a massage bar and she thought it was a bath bomb and couldn't understand why her tub was so greasy. I've been using Lush products since i first discovered the company in Australia in the late 90s and I love them to death! But make sure you kow what to do with what you are buying! Bubble bars crumble, massage bars are for massages, the bath melts are something totally different as well. But once you figure it out, you;ll never go back!
Other Reviewer Confused
Bubble bars are not soap!! They are to be crumbled into your bath water to make bubbles. That is why her bar "crumbled". They are great to make lovely smelling, bubbly water to float around in. I heard this one is particularly good, so am ordering it now!
Relaxing bath
I received the French Kiss Bubble Bar for free with an online order. It's not a Bubble Bar I would have selected in my own, but I was pleasantly surprised. The lavendar fragrance is very relaxing and soothing and the shape and color of the bar are beautiful (although I think it's adorned with a sprig of lavender and not rosemary, as a previous reviewer has suggested). I used half the bar in my relatively small tub and it made plenty of lasting bubbles for my half hour soak. It left a lovely scent in my bathroom for the rest of the evening, and left no ring or residue on my tub.
Leaves You Feeling Silky Smooth
Like another reviewer, this was not an item I would have selected myself. I received it as a gift from a friend and was hesitant to use it out of fear that it would have an overpowering floral smell due to the lavender. However, the bar ended up being a pleasant surprise, and I will likely buy it again.<br /><br />Since I don't like too many bubbles in my bath and, more importantly, like stretching my Lush products as much as possible due to the cost, I cut the bar into fourths. I found it to be a lot harder to cut than most Lush products, so if you're going to cut it, use a really strong knife and be ready for it to blow apart a bit as you slice through. (It's pretty crumbly.)<br /><br />What I like about this bar is that, even though it's not very bubbly -- even as someone who cuts bars, I usually get more from others than this one -- it leaves a wonderful silky feeling on your body. I love that, even in the water, I can feel it on my legs, and not in an annoying greasy way at all. It's so relaxing! I usually put cocoa butter on my legs after shaving, and I don't need to do anything after using this bar. It has some sort of wonderful lotion quality about it that I adore. More than the scent or bubbles, that is the reason I will purchase it for myself in the future.<br /><br />The only objection I have is that it seems to melt a bit more than other bubble bars. I've kept it in a sealed container in a cool area, but it just doesn't keep well. If you're going to cut it, be sure to use the other pieces within a couple weeks at the most. And, like all bubble bars, don't get it wet unless you're going to use it right away, because even the tiniest bit of moisture gets it going.
