Fast and Easy Toner for Brunette Highlights
Theres nothing I don't like about this toner. It tones my highlights down when they get a bit brassy. It makes my hair feel soft and the shine is really pretty. Overall, my favorite way to tone my hair color. For me, I have a chin length bob, I can split the the solution in half and get 2 applications. I usually eyeball the solution bottles and pour half of each bottle into a a mixing bowl. Whip it up and apply to clean wet hair using a dye application brush. It takes around 15-20 minutes. Love this gloss! My only dismay, I have to stock up when I can. This gloss, especially the Smokey Topaz is always limited in stock. Buy it if you can!
Only Non-Salon Solution That Works
Iโm obsessed! I had my hair painted at Arrojo salon in NYC a week before coronavirus really hit. The highlights came out far less bright and more red than I anticipated. With salons closed now, I havenโt been able to tone them. Until now! This product actually works. Not only does my hair look shinier but it brightened up my highlights a bit by toning down the warmth. Of course It doesnโt โlastโ, this is not a salon solution. I have used it once every 2 weeks and Iโm so happy.

I love how it removes any orange or brassiness! However, it only last about 2 weeks and thatโs with my hair being shampooed only once a week!
Saved my yellow/brassy balayage
Had my second balayage touch up on my medium to dark brown hair and the stylist turned 3/4 of my hair platinum blonde. She then went in and applied a golden toner which left my hair horribly brassy and yellow. Bought the Smokey Topaz color and left it on for 15 minutes and I love the results. Will be purchasing again for additional touch ups.
Good to go a shade or two darker but dries out hair
I am in my third trimester and am holding off on salon visits for the moment due to the pandemic. I have highlights that are pretty brassy and grown in so I thought Iโd give this a try to tone them down. I liked that this allowed me to try to go a little darker on a temporary basis. It did dry out my hair, even after I used a great deep conditioner. The pic with the smiley face is the before photo and the blurred ones are after using this product. I will say, I donโt see how you would do this in the shower if youโre going to let it sit for 20mins, so I basically showered, hopped out, used the gloss, and then went back to the shower to rinse afterward. Still, easier than the salon and much cheaper. All in all, Iโm glad I gave it a shot.
