Nina Ricci's Rose Absolue

The bottle is simple, but elegant. It looks beautiful on the vanity/dressing table and inspires curiosity. The fragrance is a dark rose. This is not as sweet as Rose L'extase, which is in the light pink bottle. It's also not a bright or fresh rose. This is a dark, smoky, oud-y rose...although I don't think the fragrance contains oud. For me, it didn't project well and it disappears quickly on my skin. However, I was able to smell it on my shirt the next day. So, this performs better on clothing. I layered this scent with a brighter/fresher rose scent to cut some of the darkness. I see this as more of a nighttime scent or a winter scent.
